Never stop praying. (1 Thessalonians 5:17 ERV)
The sun is stilled. A man is immune to fire. A brother sold into slavery becomes a Pharaoh's right hand man. Ocean waters are parted. A foreign queen saves the lives of her people. Blindness is obliterated. A dead man is beckoned to leave his grave. A barren womb carries a baby. Years are added to the life of a king. A wandering people is given a homeland. A Savior is born. A thief is ushered with Him into paradise. A heart of stone is transformed into a heart of flesh.
The list above mentions a few of the ways God responded when His people prayed. The Bible does not say to pray to Him sometimes in your life, He says to do it all the time. Ponder that; now re-read the list. As much as that list builds confidence, there are times when I’m afraid to repeatedly ask Him about the same things. Guilt is a well-crafted lie meant to distract us from drawing closer to Him. We are invited to ask the One outside of time to move in our circumstances. May we boldly approach Him knowing the response is for His glory and our good. Never stop.
Father, Thank You for wanting to show off in my life. Please encourage me to ask You about anything, anytime. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Alli is a native Texan but calls Louisiana home. During the week she teaches English and video chats with her nephew. On the weekends you'll find her lacing up her tennis shoes for a run, her nose in a book learning more about her Redeemer and Friend, and writing Sunday lessons for the younger hearts at Living Hope Fellowship. Her heart is for encouraging others to taste and see that God is breathtakingly good to and through them.
