Ripples

Read

Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” — John 4:39-42

Reflect

When Jesus kerplunked into the pool of your life—the still, ordinary-ness of your world—the waves he created began with you at the center. He took up residence in your heart, began to work through your hands, mouth, and feet, and started a ripple effect through the sea of relationships you have.

The people within your sphere of influence may just be bobbing along life's waters when the ripple of your Jesus-relationship becomes noticeable. They see the wave coming, feel it lifting them up when it reaches them, and are left changed in its wake. You've touched them in some special way with the Gospel.

The Lord wants all to know him. And since you do, he wants you to have a ripple effect on others for him. Let those in your life get caught in the current. And help them become part of the heavenly tide.

Pray

Jesus, use me to make a difference in the lives of others. Let's make ripples.
