“I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me diligently will find me.” - Proverbs 8:17
Seek diligently. Those are words of action.
These days it is harder for me to seek Him. I have a small baby, a home to keep, and deadlines to meet. Suffice it to say my time with the Lord must be intentional, or it simply won’t happen at all.
These daily demands make seeking Him that much more important, because it is in the stressful, difficult, and mundane moments that we need God the most. By seeking Him diligently, we acknowledge our need for His presence in our jobs, homes, and hearts.
To seek God means to search Him out. To do this diligently requires dedication. As 1 John 4:16 says, we must “know and believe” the love He has for us and let that love motivate our diligence. Searching for God in the busyness of our days means placing Him above all else; He must be our number one priority. But to seek Him is to find Him, and to find Him is peace.
Lord, inspire me to seek you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.
