Read:

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of Your wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1 ESV

Reflect:

1621 is the year Americans recognize as the first Thanksgiving, when two people groups unified to celebrate a successful corn harvest. Fast forward hundreds of years later and Thanksgiving has become synonymous with quality time, family and friends, delicious eats, American football, naps, a parade or two, and taking moments to recognize the harvest of blessing in our lives.

We may not be sharing a meal together today, but let’s unify our hearts in prayer to the One deserving of all thanks and praise.

Our lives recount the wonder of His deeds, let us give thanks! Take a moment to thank Him for:

His Generosity! “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above…” James 1:17a ESV

His Faithfulness! “God is faithful…” 1 Corinthians 1:9 ESV

His Love! “I have loved you with an everlasting love…” Jeremiah 31:3 ESV

His Sacrifice! “He is the propitiation for our sins…” 1 John 2:2 ESV

His Steadiness! “I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10b ESV

His Friendship!  “I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15b ESV

Making you a part of His family! “I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:18 ESV

Pray:

Father, with my whole heart I thank You for being You. The most incredible blessing in my life is knowing You and making You known. I love You so much! Amen.
